Scrapping our Stash Monthly Blog Hop!

Hello, hello!  It's that time of the month where we scrap our stash, with Practical Scrappers!  You should have arrived here from Lee-Anne's blog - if you didn't you may want to go back and check out all of the wonderful inspiration!  This group of ladies are so talented and always are full of fabulous ideas!  This month I decided to make a Dina Wakley style tag.  Not sure how I'm going to use it yet, it could go into my journal, turned into a card, put on a present...I always have lots of ideas!  To start with I stamped the bird with jet black archival ink on watercolor paper.  I painted the bird using magenta, tangerine and lemon and a little bit of white Dina Wakley Media Paints.  Then I cut it out after it had dried thoroughly.  For the tag itself, I laid down a layer of white gesso and let dry.  I added a little turquoise and sky Dina Wakely Media Paint to the background and let dry.   I stamped one of Dina's word stamps with watering can archival ink all the way down the right side of the tag.  I splattered some picket fence distress spray stain and let dry.  To finish off my tag I added some vintage sheet music and some stitched glassine distress paper and a little black thread before gluing my bird down.  I love using Dina's product, it's always so full of color!
 I hope you enjoyed my Dina Wakley style tag, now it's time to hop on over to Wendy C's blog!  You can find all the supplies I used at Inspiration Emporium via the links below.  Remember to use my coupon code - vintagemuse - to save 10% on your order.   If you have any questions or if there's anything I missed please let me know I love your comments, I appreciate each and everyone of them!  As always thanks for stopping by and I'll see you next time!

12 Tags of 2015 {My January Version}

Hello, my blogging friends!  Today I'd like to share my January version of Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2015.  This is my first Tim tag of the year and I love the techniques that he went with for this month!    Tim Holtz has a wonderful tutorial on his blog with step-by-step instructions on how to create this fun technique here.
 There are a few pieces that I used on my tag that are some new releases of Tim's from CHA.  The heirloom roses, small talk and big chat are new.
I colored my heirloom roses with a combination of four colors of alcohol inks.

 The typed token dangling off the keyhole is another new piece from Tim as well.
 The one thing that I really missed putting on my tag was a big bow, you know I love them! :)  It covered up too much of the wording at the top so I just skipped the bow this time.
 I hope you have enjoyed my version of Tim's January tag it was a lot of fun to make.   I also want to remind you that it's not too late to enter your "Fresh Start" project here at the Inspiration Journal, you have until January 31.  One lucky winner will receive a very generous $50 gift voucher to spend at Inspiration Emporium!  You can find all the supplies I used at Inspiration Emporium via the links below. Stampers Anonymous CHA 2015 Cards: Part 1

 Hi everyone, hope you're having a great day!   I'm sharing a few cards today that I made for Stampers Anonymous CHA 2015 booth!  First up, is one of the bird stamps from the bird crazy stamp set!
 Below each card I will list all the products that I used to create them.  For this card I stamped the bird in black archival as well as the phrase.   I watercolored with distress inks and did some splattering with distress spray stain.  Added an idea-ology arrow and paper string.  The birds...they are so funny, I just love them! :)

 Next up is "love you to the moon and back" card.  I thought the dies that I used were perfect for the quote!  Everything was diecut out of distress watercolor paper.  I used the "bricked" stencil using texture paste on distress watercolor cardstock.  After it was completely dry, I sponged distress ink on the faux bricks to create a brick wall.  I watercolored the moon and stars with scattered straw distress ink. I layered some ideology pieces and stamped the phrase with jet black archival ink.

  For my third card I stamped with black archival ink and watercolored with vintage photo distress ink.  Then I did a little splatter with distress spray stain.
I made 2 of these cards (one for Stampers Anonymous & one for Tim's booth)

 I had so much fun creating these cards for Stampers Anonymous!  Now remember to enter your "Fresh Start" themed projects over at Inspiration Journal and one lucky winner will be given a very generous $50 gift credit, to spend at Inspiration Emporium.  You can find all the supplies I used at Inspiration Emporium via the links below.  I will have links to Tim Holtz's newest products soon.  Remember to use my coupon code - vintagemuse - to save 10% on your order.  I hope you enjoyed a few of my  Stampers Anonymous cards!   If you have any questions or if there's anything I missed please let me know I love your comments, I appreciate each and everyone of them!  As always thanks for stopping by and I'll see you next time!
